Is it all in my head….

My husband would tell you that what I am about to write is a product of too much reading on baby websites, and then I “talk” myself into certain symptoms.  (I vehemently disagree by the way.)

Anyways, I am terribly worried that I am going to be one of those pregnant women that I read about in the books and on the websites.  You know the one…it’s the sentence where it says “now that you’re out of the first trimester, you should finally be getting some relief from the nausea”…UNLESS you are one of the very few unfortunate women who continues to feel nauseaous during their ENTIRE pregnancy.

Well, I’ve completed 14 weeks and am working my way into week 15 right now…but I’m still gagging/coughing all throughout the day, and I just had to lay my head down on my desk for a few minutes because I truly felt like I was about to be sick.

What do ya’ll think – is it truly all in my head?  I’ve been thinking positive thoughts and gearing up for all the energy I’m going to have (after I finish tax season that is).  The energy actually is much better (now I’m just regular “busy-season” tired), but this nausea thing is bugging me.  I wake Travis up every morning with my gagging.  He pretty much thinks I’m dying every day, and he lays there for a minute to let me gag, but if it goes on more than one or two times he can’t help but get up to check on me.

  1. NO! It is not in your head…my husband said that as well! Be sure to leave the bathroom door open every time you gag or throw up so he can realize how bad you feel 🙂

It definitely can take a while for the nausea to go away…but hopefully it will get better with each week that passes by!
